This 8mm mala, which is made up of 27 lapis lazuli crystals, is well known for its connection to health and healing. It is particularly associated with the Lapis Lazuli Light Pureland, the pureland of Medicine Buddha, where the body of Medicine Buddha is said to radiate the alluring color of lapis lazuli. This stone’s rich blue hue makes it a suitable option for collecting the mantras of blue-dominant deities, such as Aksobhya, Chakrasamvara, and, of course, Medicine Buddha.
