Across different cultures, Amitabha is referred to by various names: Am-mi-to in Chinese, Amida in Japanese, Amita in Korean, A-di-da in Vietnamese, and Amideva in Tibetan chants. His devotees celebrate his birth on the 17th day of the 11th lunar month, honoring his divine presence.
